Agenda Item Summary: Current ACPS policies related to Gifted Services overlap with the Local Plan for the Gifted. Staff is recommending realignment of content to better fit with the roles of policies, regulations, and the Local Plan for the Gifted.
Background: The following policies and regulations have overlapping content with the Local Plan for the Gifted: ● IGBB – Programs for Gifted Students ● IGBI – Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) Classes ● IKEB – Acceleration ● IKEB-R – Acceleration Regulations ● JEC-R2 – Kindergarten and Grade One Placement
Recommendation: The Interim Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the content for the work session.
