Agenda Item Summary:
|
The 2023-24 Academic Calendar was approved by the ACPS School Board on December 16, 2021. Revisions are necessary to correct two student attendance day errors noticed after the calendar was approved. The proposed calendar contains the same number of student attendance and staff days. The proposed revisions result in the school year ending for students two days earlier.
● August 31 and October 12 become student attendance days
● The last day of school for students becomes Wednesday, June 12, 2024
● August 18 becomes a school-based professional development day
● August 17 becomes a division-wide professional development day
● A color-coding error was corrected on the modified calendar at Tucker (July 25 is a school day)
● Parent-Teacher conferences formatted for consistency across all levels |
