Agenda Item Summary:
|
As part of the Board’s continuing, five-year policy review cycle, nine policies and regulations from the classifications below were proposed for revision at the June 3, 2021 School Board work session. B Policies: School Board Governance and Operations D Policies: Fiscal Management G Policies: Personnel I Policies: Instructional Program J Policies: Students L Policies: Education Agency Relations The Title IX-related revisions to G and J policies and regulations are primarily due to the 2020 changes to Title IX’s implementing regulations regarding sexual harassment. However, they have also been reviewed by ACPS’ Equity Policy Audit team to reflect the vision of the Equity for All: 2025 Strategic Plan. The remaining policy revisions (BDD, IC/ID and LBD) have been revised to reflect statutory changes taking effect prior to the 2021-22 school year, or (DJ) to avoid confusion by aligning with the ACPS Procurement Manual’s internal, small purchasing thresholds. The following chart outlines the proposed policy and regulatory revisions: BDD DJ GB GBA/JFHA GB-R/GBA-R IC/ID JB JB-R/JFHA-R LBD |
