Agenda Item Summary:
As part of the recent school capital projects, colocation has become a main topic of discussion. ACPS has several examples of colocations at existing schools, some of which are included in the attached presentation. The attached presentation is from the February 18, 2020 School Board work session, where the School Board discussed colocation in preparation for their joint meeting with City Council. |
Background:
In January 2018, the Ad-Hoc Joint City-Schools Facilities Investment Task Force, made recommendations to the City Council and School Board on the ten-year CIP and for process improvements to optimize the success of the City and ACPS’s capital program in the future. Included in these recommendations was an emphasis on colocation as a solution to growing needs and limited resources. |

Recommendation
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the materials in preparation for the discussion on colocation to take place with City Council on March 4, 2020. |
