As ACPS prepares to open schools for in-person learning 5 days a week this school year, present health information related to COVID-19 is being reviewed. Based on current conditions, including but not limited an inability to physically distance in schools and community transmission level of substantial, many of the mitigating measures used successfully during hybrid instruction are being recommended to continue. |

Background:

The City of Alexandria has substantial COVID‐19 transmission within the community at present. This increasing community transmission of a variant is spread more easily among children and adolescents. |

Recommendation
|
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review approve requiring masks while inside all ACPS facilities and while in an ACPS vehicle regardless of vaccination status. |
