Agenda Item Summary: The HR Department continues to make progress on the findings and recommendations of the 2018 HR Audit. As of December 2020, the HR Department has completed 18 of 25 recommendations. This report is the fifth in a series of HR Audit updates. A briefing to the School Board is planned for spring 2021.
Background: The School Board approved a risk assessment of ACPS which resulted in the approved funding in the FY 2016 Combined Funds Budget for an internal audit program. In January 2018, the School Board awarded a contract to Gibson Consulting Group to conduct a functional performance audit of the Department of Human Resources. The audit began in February 2018 and was completed in September 2018 noting the respective findings and recommendations. The Gibson Consulting Group presented the report to the School Board on October 11, 2018. The HR Department is charged to complete the recommendations and provides a quarterly progress update until complete.
Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the HR Audit Update.
