Due to illness, Mr. Elnoubi will participate electronically from home.

Background:
|
Board members are allowed to participate electronically at Board Meetings for up to 2 or 25% of meetings held provided there is quorum physically present in the room. However, electronic participation due to illness of a Board Member is not counted in the number of total meetings that Board Member may attend electronically.

Recommendation:
|
Whereas Board Member Abdel-Rahman Enoubi has notified the Board that he is unavailable to be physically present for tonight’s School Board Work Session due to a personal matter, specifically illness and whereas Board Member Elnoubi requests the opportunity to participate in the meeting by Video Conference Call from Alexandria VA where the conference call shall be heard by all participants in this Board room; and whereas a quorum of the Board is physically assembled in this Board room;
Therefore, I move, pursuant to Virginia Code 2.2-3708 that the Board approve the participation of Board Member Abdel Rahman Elnoubi in this meeting by video conference call.
