Agenda Item Summary:
|
The George Washington High School Alumni Association (GWHSAA) plans to submit a request to the State to approve a site marker located at George Washington Middle School. Prior to submission of the formal request, GWHSAA reached out to ACPS to notify us of their intent and to review the proposed language and marker location. The Executive Director of Facilities and Operations and Superintendent have reviewed and had no objections to the request. Next steps include notifying the School Board of this request via Board Brief and then sign-off from the City on the proposal.

In March 2021, The George Washington High School Alumni Association (GWHSAA) formally reached out to the school division to request review and approval of a site marker at George Washington Middle School. Staff have reviewed the proposed language and location and did not have objections to the request

The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the board brief on the requested GWHSAA site marker at George Washington Middle School.
