Agenda Item Summary: On April 21, 2022, the updated SLEP Advisory Group proposal was presented to the School Board. Staff received consensus from the School Board to proceed with the updated proposal. This brief will provide an update on the SLEP advisory group process since the April 21, 2022 meeting.

Membership Selection Process
The membership application process for the non-ACPS member core member spots and participatory subcommittee spots opened on Friday, April 22, 2022 and closed on Monday, May 2, 2022. The Office of Community Partnerships and Engagement received 58 applications during this time period. Scoring of applicants by the Family and Community Engagement Center (FACE) (based on a rubric) occurred and final membership selections were made. The scoring rubric was based on the answers submitted by applicants in response to the application form, to include aligned experience, stakeholder classification and any additional information provided.

In addition, selections were made for the Core Advisory group members in alignment with the updated proposal presented on 04/21/22:

Selection of Secondary Principal Representative
Selection of School Psychology Representative
Selection of Teacher Representative
Selection of the Second Student Representative
Selection of APD Representative
Selection of the City Representative (Awaiting selection)

The advisory group membership list will be shared once we receive the City Representative selection.
