The Alexandria School Board designates one member to serve on the City Council’s Budget and Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee (BFAAC). The Chair recommends the School Board designate Nancy Drane, former chair of the School Board’s Budget Advisory Committee (BAC).

Background:
|
The Budget and Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee advises and supports the City Council by examining the City's budget procedures and processes; and recommends ways of improving that process, including participation by the public. BFAAC’s enacting legislation and bylaws call for one member to be designated by the Alexandria School Board. In December, the Board Chair received a letter of resignation from our former designee and therefore the Board needs to appoint a new designee.
