Agenda Item Summary: The Code of Virginia has been updated to include the administration of Nalaxone as an emergency medication by trained staff. Policy JHCD Administration of Medications to Students and JHCD-R Regulations for the Administration of Medications to Students are recommended for revision to include this provision.
Background:
Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends that the School Board approve the policy JHCD and regulation JHCD-R in order for these to go into effect immediately.
