Agenda Item Summary:
|
ACPS has identified the need to provide site improvements for the resumption of the Patrick Henry K-8 School and Recreation Center Phase III. The improvements include demolition of the Douglas MacArthur Swing Space and site improvements including parking and sports fields.
ACPS engaged in an Invitation to Bid (ITB) process to solicit, evaluate, and award a contract for the Site Improvements for the Phase III Completion project at Patrick Henry K-8 School.

Background:
|
In April 2019, the School Board approved the use of the old Patrick Henry School as swing space to allow the Douglas MacArthur modernization project to move forward. The new Douglas MacArthur is opening for students this August 2023, and staff are preparing for completion of the Patrick Henry K-8 School following Douglas MacArthur’s vacating of the swing space.
