Agenda Item Summary:
|
This brief will clarify the possible activities and logistics for the upcoming professional learning day on October 10th. The focus of this day is highly effective instructional strategies for implementing tier I instruction. All instructional staff will participate in professional learning sessions for the whole day. Schools should not hold other meetings or events on this day.

Background:
|
There will be three time frames for professional learning on this day. Morning sessions will occur from 9:00 am-11:30 am, and afternoon sessions will occur from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm. Instructors can also offer a full-day session from 9:00 am-3:30 pm, with lunch and breaks included in the day at the instructor’s discretion. Participants can prioritize professional learning sessions based on professional learning plans, school goals, PLC, and classroom needs. Sessions will be held virtually or in person, depending on the content, audience, and instructor needs. Participants may attend virtual sessions from home or at their work location.
