Agenda Item Summary:
|
The Annual Report provides a summary of SEAC accomplishments over the last year and identifies plan objectives and the key targets achieved during the report year. The focus areas discussed were designed to provide advice regarding intervention and supports for our students, parents, administrators, and faculty so as to achieve effective outcomes for SWD, and the report provides descriptions of the activities and recommendations for School Board consideration. The 2021-2022 Scope of Work includes numerous goals and objectives. The major purpose of SEAC is to provide an opportunity for parents and other school board appointees to have a voice in the way ACPS provides services to students with disabilities. As a committee, we are aligning our work with the ACPS 2025: Equity for All. Our work encompasses many subcommittees that will focus on tasks, deliverables, and other action items to support the committee at large when advocating for students with disabilities (SWD) within the division.
