Agenda Item Summary:
The purpose of this brief is to provide an overview of the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) 8/9, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and PSAT/National Merit Scholarship
Qualifying Test (NMSQT), which will be administered by Alexandria City High School (ACHS). During the 2021-2022 school year, the PSAT and NMSQT will be administered on October 12, 2022. The SAT will be administered twice on October 27, 2022, and April 27, 2023.

Background:
As mentioned in the summary above, ACHS administers these tests to students in grades 9-12 at three different points in the school year. These tests will be offered to students at all four campuses of ACHS: King Street, Minnie Howard, Satellite, and Chance for Change (CFC). Our School Testing Coordinators (STCs) will coordinate with each campus to determine who will be testing. Each of these testing days will require schedule adjustments for students. Listed in the table below are the different dates for the PSAT, SAT, and NMSQT.
Recommendation
