Agenda Item Summary:
|
Advisory committees provide expertise, facilitate community input, and utilize multiple sources of information to advise the Board on areas for continued growth and improvement. The School Board benefits from its partnerships with the community, particularly the experience and insight provided by its volunteer committees. It is essential for the Board to assess the processes, goals and support required by its advisory committees to keep them functioning and thriving. On March 18, 2021, the School Board voted to create the Ad Hoc School Board Advisory Support Committee in order to develop ways in which the School Board can better support their six advisory committees which support the work of the Division. The Ad Hoc Committee was tasked with developing a scope of work to guide their work to review committee processes and increase collaboration with the School Board. |
