On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, RunningBrooke donated $8,823.75 for the purchase of fifteen bicycles complete with trainers, mats, and book holders in alignment with their Pedals & Pages program. In accordance with ACPS Policy KH and Regulation KH-R, any donation over $2,500 requires school board approval. The donation must meet the established standards of acceptance requirements. |

Background:

RunningBrooke started Pedals and Pages in 2018 at Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School, and has expanded to additional ACPS elementary schools since then. On February 16, 2021, RunningBrooke presented ACPS with this donation to bring the program to all fourteen elementary schools. |

Recommendation
|
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board accept the donation of $8,823.75 for the purchase of fifteen bicycles complete with trainers, mats, and book holders in alignment with the RunningBrooke Pedals & Pages program. |
