Agenda Item Summary:
This brief updates the School Board about the school day Spring Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) testing schedule at Alexandria City High School (ACHS) on April 16, 2024. Each year, ACHS administers the SAT. The SAT is a multiple-choice, computer-based test created and administered by the College Board. |
Background:
Each school year, students in grades 9-12 have the opportunity to participate in school-day testing for the PSAT/SAT. The dates are selected in collaboration with the College Board and the Titan Testing Team. Testing usually occurs in October and April. School testing affords Titans greater access to assessments that can be highlighted on college resumes, allows students to qualify for National Merit Scholarships, and have SAT scores for the early college application process. There are no fees to students for these assessments. |
